Who this is for

This notice is for you, the plumber using PlumbSim on a phone or computer. It is UK English, for UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

It is not a privacy notice for your plumbing customers. You are the controller for names, addresses, and photos you type or take about those customers. Keep that data only as long as the job needs it.

What sits on this device

Job sheets save in this browser on this device. That can include photos of a property, customer names and phone numbers you type, site notes, labour and material lines, VAT choices, and your trading details (name, phone, email, address, logo, VAT number, Gas Safe number if you type one).

Sign-in uses Supabase Auth to check your email with a 6-digit code. The job desk needs that session. Back up this device uploads a complete copy of jobs, photos, company details and rates to your account in Supabase. Signing in does not upload or merge local jobs. The app does not email estimates to customers.

Why we hold it

We hold this so you can draft, edit, print, copy, and share an indicative estimate for a plumbing job. The legal basis is your request to use the software (contract) and, where needed, our legitimate interests in running a safe app on this device.

Photos are used only to help you draft the sheet, and optionally to try an indicative after of the fitting you named. The app must not invent a boiler model, pipe length, or Gas Safe number that is not in the photo or typed by you. An after is not a survey. Photo-draft and after use a daily server allowance on a signed-in account.

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use analytics cookies. A sign-in session cookie is strictly necessary so this desk can tell you are signed in. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Job sheets live in this browser (IndexedDB and similar storage), not in the sign-in cookie. Sign-in keeps a session on this device. Signing in does not merge jobs from another phone.

Who else sees it

Cloud copies sit in Supabase under your account. If you use the optional photo-draft or indicative after, xAI processes the selected photos and the notes you supplied. The photo leaves the device only to produce a draft you can edit, or to try an after that holds the same room. If the model cannot hold the camera angle, walls, windows, or layout, the after is discarded. Do not switch that on with a live customer photo unless you are happy for that image to be processed.

We do not sell personal data. Native in-app purchases, if ever offered, would go through Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. A web subscription, if ever offered, would go through Stripe. Plus is not for sale. No card is taken.

How long it stays

Device job sheets stay until you delete them, use Wipe this device, or clear this browser's site data. Cloud backups are separate copies kept until you delete a copy or the cloud account. Only a backup made before a device was wiped can restore that work. The app does not continuously sync.

Download a JSON backup if you want your own file. A customer snapshot link holds the confirmed estimate text in its URL fragment, without photos. Anyone with the link can read it. The app cannot recall that copy, or copies others download. Share it only with the person who should see it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, and delete the data this app holds on this device. Use Settings to edit trader details. Delete a job from the sheet. Wipe this device to remove every job, photo, and trader detail stored here.

Cloud account deletion in Settings removes the signed-in Supabase account and its cloud copies. Local jobs stay on this device until you wipe them separately. Account deletion does not cancel a payment-provider subscription.

Children

PlumbSim is for working plumbers, not for children. Do not create an account or store a child's data in a job sheet.
